Wonder Commonlands
Wonder Commonlands it s an awared Erasmus + project that looks for providing learning and networking opportunities to the partner organisations and to all EU women and young girls living in commonlands for their inclusion in their governance, economy and natural resources management. It is developed through three specific objective:- To promote the social inclusion of women and young girls (as a key community vulnerable groups in rural areas) and their participation in the community life and decision-making of the commonlands
- Facilitate access to information, training and mutual support for people traditionally excluded from decision-making spaces, such as young people and women in rural Europe
- Generate a mutual learning space where to identify, in a participatory manner and gather the voice of women and young people in rural areas, the needs and tools to guarantee non-discrimination and inclusion in community life
- To develop the networking and digitalisation of rural women across ages and among territories for the exchange of experiences, knowledge and mutual support
- Generate a space for valuing and transmitting Traditional Ecological Knowledge (i.e. knowledge transmitted across generations of the use, management and care for ecosystems, usually collectively)among women and young women
- Promote the use of digital skills and tools to allow women to generate networks within and beyond their territory, facilitating the exchange of experiences, knowledge and mutual support
- To enhance women and young girls’ entrepreneurship capacities by providing them useful learning experiences, skills and tools about the revitalization of the territory, community governance and the sustainable economic development of common lands. Operational objectives include:
- Promote the economic development potential of traditional and new common lands as a future living space as a way to contribute to generational change in these territories
- Generate useful material to raise awareness about the environmental value of common lands, their role in the fight against climate change and the specific role of women and young girls in their conservation
